For some of you this story might be old news. But this is for those of you have not yet been inspired by the Spinach King, and Dan The Director, whose amazing skill at cinematography captures the essence of the story. As food prices increase, Cape Town's Khayelitsha's Lufefe Nomjana has embraced slow food principles, a gardener's thumb and his own world view to help feed his community and make a living for himself and a number of his community members through Espinaca Innovations. As Progress Namibia is embarking on an 'Open Spaces' strategy and looking at ways citizens can improve things in their community (you may have recently heard of Windhoek's 'River Walk' (a community project to bring life back to Windhoek's rivers) and learn about community or household gardening (Eco Living Namibia), Lufefe's story is truly inspiring. Anyway. Enough words. Watch below some inspiration for your Monday morning.
